ATLab
proprietary technology
enables optical
finger navigating
input device in
reality.
Optical
Finger Navigation
Sensor ATA2985 provides
the mouse-like functionality
in graphic user
interface of modern
portable display
devices. Cursor
can move smoothly
anywhere by pixel-by-pixel
movement. Compared
with touch panel,
arrow keypads and
joystick, the Optical
Finger Navigation
Sensor produces
much finer resolution
and higher environment
stability.
In
the Optical Finger
Navigation Sensor,
the image sensor
captures ¡°snapshot¡±
of the finger movement
few thousand times
per second and the
navigation engine
determines direction
and magnitude of
finger movement.

|
Patented
technologies of ¡°Touch-On
Power-On¡± and "Smart
LED On¡± are applied to
reduce power consumption
for portable electronics.
Also the protocol of ATA2985
is I2C, so users are able
to select for more performance
by I2C bus.
